Gen Con Indy '03 Report
Gen Con was great for The Game Mechanics!
- The RPGA started using our Initiative Cards, which took a silver ENnie for "Best Free Product or Web-Enhancement."
- We got to see print copies of Artifacts of the Ages: Swords and Staves for the first time (and watch a lot of them sell to the conventioneers).
- Christopher West's beautiful city map for the City Quarters series was on display, and the response was so positive that we'll be looking for a way to make it available in poster form.
- Turn-out for our seminars was better than we expected, and we received some good feedback so we can improve them.
When a convention goes this well, you have lots of people to thank:
- Green Ronin for giving us badges, letting us share booth space, and publishing our first print product.
- The RPGA for distributing our Initiative Cards.
- ENWorld staff and voters for the award.
- Peter and the Gen Con staff, for choosing Indy and for making things run as well as they did.
