Future Player's Companion - Sample Material from Tomorrows' Hero

Latest version posted on September 21, 2005.
From the pages of the second Future Player's Companion PDF come new rules for creating robotic PCs. Robots are a staple of science fiction, and the opportunity to portray one in a futuristic d20 System campaign is appealing to many players. They are ultimately more configurable than their human counterparts, and with a few attachments or modifications, this can provide a welcome distinction between different robotic player characters and their functions within the adventuring party. Aside from their versatility, robot characters possess several benefits that organic characters lack, such as increased hit dice, resilience, and the ability to be repaired or "resurrected" by transferring the robot's processor into another frame.

Temple Quarter: A City Quarters Sourcebook is the second in our award-winning series. This publication includes four pages from the print edition. At the Temple of Osai, the clergy practice the healing arts--for mind as well as body. Of all the temples in Liberty, Osai's is the most open-minded. Healers and even clerics from other churches come to the Temple of Osai to study the latest healing techniques, and the temple staff turn away no one--not even the most contagious disease victim. The temple charges nothing for its services. As a result, the square in front the temple is packed from dawn until dusk every day with the injured and the ailing, all awaiting their chance to be healed.

The Church of the Deified Dragon worships the youngest of the gods of Liberty: Ur-Argo, who had aided the Hundred Heroes in the battle against the vile dragon Uladon. Anthropophagi

Latest version posted on October 31, 2003.
When we playtested Come for the Reaping, the inspiration from films like Resident Evil and Night of the Living Dead was obvious. The zombies, however, didn't feel quite right. Today's film zombies are much closer to old vampire lore than they are to the lurching, slow undead we experience in d20 System games. Their origins are also in pseudoscientific gobbledygook rather than in superstition or magic. This Halloween, The Game Mechanics give you "anthropophagi" (the name is Greek for "human flesh eater"), a template intended to update zombies. Rivaling the original Tomb of Horrors in its deadliness, Nightfang offers little recourse for those who lose levels due to an untimely death. How do you deal with a system that weakens your characters at the same time it expects them to increase in power? JD decided to revise the spells raise dead, resurrection, and true resurrection to help keep the Adventure Path campaign moving forward.
